They hang up when i answered

Caller: Saying they are kids with cancer foundation

Sounded suspicious saying that social workers had told them there are thousands of children in need of food being put on the table as they are struggling with cancer. As soon as I told them I'd been made redundant and have just given birth to a baby and was strapped for cash they just hung up on me.

Answered they hung up.. put it phone on private & called back. Said it was Kids with Cancer & it was an automated message.

I was suspicious and didn't answer. Called back and heard a voice recording... Kids with Cancer Foundation doing raffle tickets. Despite my number being in the donotcall register I get spammed by them weekly, often from different numbers.

from other comments it appears it was the Kids With Cancer group seeking donations
I once dis a quiz/survey for the Victor Chang Foundation and they appear to have given my number to endless call centre charities, and I suspect it is reciprocal, so I would advise against answering this call, or ever doing such a survey

So sad that I no longer donate to mainstream charities as once you donate to one, the phone calls become relentless. I know so many people who no longer donate because of this. Call block doesn't work either as they keep using new numbers. And to ring at meal times and on a Saturday is pretty rude.😡

Charities are still allowed to call you if you are on the DNCR.

Once you donate money they want more more more, they ring me every day.

Kids with Cancer. Legitimate Charity, but you may wish to avoid the call.
