With the regular prefix of 02 9094 suspect that this call centre has another new number. Did 'the usual' and waited and, sure enough, went to message bank and then call terminated. Waiting to see if this number is flagged on this site by other recipients and will block.

Answered, but they hung up. Called back and got an automated message about the rural fire brigade. Not sure if it is a scam or not.

This number calls regularly but it is flagged by my phone as spam. After reading the comments here, I found this info on the RFS website:
The NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA), an independent and separate organisation which represents our volunteers and staff, does sell raffle tickets over the telephone as a fundraising initiative. These raffles are conducted through a telemarketing company and comply with the requirements of the NSW Department of Gaming and Racing. The operators are required to establish their bona fides and offer a return call number. The Association may also send out pledge letters but does not solicit donations.
Please contact the RFSA on (02) 4722 2122 or via their websitefor further information.

They don't leave a message so obviously don't know me or need to get in touch. Probably a nuisance call.

NOT A SCAM: We would like to confirm that calls from (02) 9094 2428 have been made by our Raffle Centre, and are not a scam.
Raffle fundraising is used for brigade grants throughout the year, sponsorship of RFS events, scholarships, chaplaincy and welfare. We work closely with the RFS chaplains to support firefighters in need.
We bring the ideas and opinions of our members to the RFS and Government using a collaborative approach, for more information please visit our website www.rfsa.org.au
In the current fire situation we provide practical support to RFS volunteers and staff in the form of additional meal options, clean t-shirts and care packs.
If you ever have concerns about calls you have received, you can always call the RFSA office on (02) 4723 3400 and we can assist in confirming that your support has been received.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

Scammers claiming to be seeling raffle tickets for the Rural Fire Service of NSW. If you pay by credit card right then and there on the phone, they say they will give you free tickets to double your chances of winning. Poor English spoken and when checked with the RFS -- they have no raffle going and they say this is not legitmate
