Claiming to be eBay. When questioned they hung up.

I got a call from this number (02) 9071 2869 who claimed to be someone from my internet provider and that someone was trying to obtain my postal details to "destroy" me. I let them rave on and then promptly told them I don't have a landline or connected wifi connection as my service is on mobile. I have a large amount of data in my package as I am moving around a lot and not situated in one spot. I then hung up............

Scam - do not answer...

Someone claiming to be from the NBN Co.. To be disconnected within 24h, unless we talked to their technician. We presumed a phishing expedition, hung up. Caveat!

Called and claimed to be NBN. I asked her which company she was representing and she said Telstra. When I told her that my provider wasn't Telstra, she just hung up.

This is a scammer. Threatening that internet is just about to be disconnected and press 1 to speak to tech support. When I went through to tech support I was advised personal details/data in jeapardy and need protecting. I knew it was scam from the beginning and went along with it. Asked for supervisor who did come on line. At that point called the scam for what it was. Supervisor then turned into an angry young man .... for an Indian he knew how to swear well!! Hopefully i wasted enough of his time to save someone else from the hassle. Scam the scammer!!

Apparently NBN, re my slow internet connection. Therefore they will upgrade with "fibre optic" free of charge. I responded with "...this is already done, and my speed is 100+ mbps ". Caller was shocked...scam! I recently updated my serv I ce with my provider.

Amazon scam as reported by others. Press 1 to speak to an operator to cancel auto renewal, etc

called and picked up and just hung up, called back and call just ended....googled the number and found so many complaints

I don't know if you can read this, but if you can you NEED to uninstall Ultraview. They will still be able to connect to your laptop using the details you gave them.

(02) 8037 4557 said he was from Telstra and I had internet issues - wanted me to Google "Check my IT" - telstra did not show up on my phone. I had to hang up (was in a meeting) and asked him to call me back - (02) 9071 2869 showed up
