Caller: "Tony" I received a phone call from someone calling themselves Tony, who claimed to be calling from eBay. They claimed there was a purchase of a gift card from my account. When I said I didn't have an eBay account, that this sounded like a scam, and I was going to report them, they got flustered and hang up. The details of the call are below.
Suspected fishing scam:
Phone number the call showed it was coming from: (02) 9071 0216 Time of call: 11:39am on 14/09/2023 My location: Melbourne, Australia

Caller: scammer I know it's a scam when he callded and said my NBN having problem, accessed by some other users, he was trying to help me to block other users who connected to my network. I continued to see what they are doing, so he asked me to go to google and search for 'my 1p address country' please note it's one P instead of ip. so I think what they going to do is trick you to connect to whatever ip displayed from the google result and they will have access to your pc.
I asked him to stay on the line and told me police is tracing down his connection and he said 'your internet connection will be disconnected immidiately, bye' and hung up. during the converation I over heard some other girl also calling others and saying the same thing which is they noticed users NBN connection having problem. so yes please be careful with these type of calls and never give your information to anyone

Another scam attempt - he kept repeating who he was, and I remarked that he'd already said that - so he hung up.
