Caller: Eftsure Yes they are likely a legit company, but who in their right mind in this day and age would provide their banking details over the phone to a foreign sounding person from a call centre based on an unsolicited call. They said they were calling on behalf of Deloittes who wanted to make a payment and needed to confirm bank details. I told them to refer back to their client.

Caller: Eftsure Legit call. Thought it was spam at first because of the 02 code, but checked our records and a client of ours did engage with Eftsure for our payment which the caller mentioned in the voicemail they left.

This number is EFTsure, payment verification service. I was asked to verbally confirm the BSB, A/c no. and A/c name I had provided to an insurance broker for a premium refund. At the beginning of the call, the EFTsure operator quoted the last four digits of my account number and the name of the insurance company.

Caller: Eftsure This was a missed call from EFTSure on behalf of one of their clients that is trying to validate the bank details of the company that I work for before they pay us for the first time. We've been their customer since 2022 and use their service for the same purpose.

Caller: EFTsure Legitimate business. They provide services to verify changes to your business (bank details, trading name etc), on behalf of large corporates that you might do business with. Typically the call is the last part of the verification process.

Work for a large multi national company. Eftsure said they were calling on behalf of Red Cross. Wanted to confirm company banking details and asked for accounts receivable. Transferred to A/R. Not sure if this is a scam or not.

Caller: (02) 9054 4851 Eftsure, use them a couple of times a month - when we send an invoice to a large corporate company they generally have a company like Eftsure who complete international transactions for them. All they do is confirm your banking details and submit payments to you, usually receive payments within 7 days of sending an invoice.

Caller: (02) 9054 4851 The same. Many repeated calls asking to confirm bank details so they can authorise a payment into our account. I think they should be confirming with the payer that info is correct.

Caller: (02) 9054 4851, may have introduced but unable to understand. Very badly handled, difficult to understand, had the hallmarks of a scam because of that. Each call, upfront asked for bank account details....naaa wrong approach these days. Unanswered unrecognised calls did not leave a message on any occasion.
