Caller: SCAM: pretended to be vodafone Received a text with one time pin code. Seconds later received a call from American/ European accent with bad echo in background. Claimed to be Vodafone loyalty program, asked if everything was going ok with my service. Realising it was a scam I hung up and reported to visa phone who confirmed there had been no company phone calls to my number.

Caller: Someone unknown It happened to me yesterday and I was fool to provide him that one time code. Guess what, he bought iPhone XS. I got email from Vodafone that your order is processed which I didn't. Email says VIC address, I went to police station to raise a concern of identity theft. I also called up Toll who is going to deliver that mobile and I asked them to stop it because that package says my name on it and I am not sure how Toll is going to verify my id. Vodafone says, just fill out Statutory Declaration form and they will take care of it.

I received a one-time sign in code on my sim number, and then a few seconds later someone called me from +61 (02) 9053 8577 pretending to be the service provider whose Sim i'm using. He said we're running a discount and need you to give us one-time code we just sent you in text. I knew there was something fishy going on the moment I received that one-time code because I hadn't requested it. Be careful people, these scammers can access anything associated with your Sim number. (02) 9053 8577 needs to be reported.
