Male caller with thick indian accent wanted to tell about about the benefits of solar panels and reducing my energy bill. He also wanted to also tell me about the current benefits on offer from the government regarding solar panels.
Told the caller my home alreeady has solar panels and back up battery but the caller still wanted to know my quarterly energy costs. Then told the caller that information is private and will not be disclosed to anyone - under any circumstances. Caller then hung up. Not sure if the caller was a SCAM but certainly was annoying.

Caller: Solar scam
Indian scammer rang to sell solar panels via the government incentive. Told him that we had already taken them up on their offer and his company had already installed the panels last week. We were absolutely delighted with the result.
He hung up!

He keeps calling and hanging up straight away. Some kind of a scam.
The only way to stop him is to block the number.

Let's get one thing straight. You cannot block numbers on a landline. You can block on mobile phones but not landlines. These scammers ring multiple numbers all at the same time and only pick up the first one that answers. That is why many reviewers say no one answers. There is one way and only one way to not be annoyed by these scammers. Buy a caller ID phone and call your your provider to enable caller ID. When you see a number you know is a scammer or number you don't know, don't pick up. Solved.

"Solar Power Property Limited" I spoke to "Billy"....... from Bangladesh.
Asked twice to repeat the business name, told him no website came up for that business and he said they don't have a website. I told him that was highly unusual for a company in 2021. Then asked for their ABN, which he didn't know. So I searched ASIC and nothing came up. He insisted they were an Australian company and gave me an address in Perth (calling from Sydney). Then he said they don't have an ABN. I asked for more details as I would need to report them to the ACCC and ASIC as you can't operate a business in Australia with an ABN. And Billy hung up on me. That made me sad as was having fun.
I knew all the answers anyway, Billy just got me on that one day where I felt like f*cking with someone. Hope this helps!

As with the comments above, an Indian accent salesman proclaiming to work for Australian government to sell solar panels. Asked him how he got my private number and to please take it off their mailing list. He refused to answer my question and tried to sell solar panels. He repeatedly talked over me and further tried to get more personal details - I hung up and blocked the number. Be wary - it sounds like a scam!

Fed up with receiving constant calls from (02) 9037 8344 over many months. I don't answer the calls. I wait for the answering machine to identify calls. Then I delete all calls from this number. How do I stop this constant harrassment?

Just had a call from this number and heard background noise but they just hung up. Can’t this number be disabled by the company that issued the number?
