'OMP Marketing Professionals' KEEPS calling our office asking for the business owner. I keep telling them we are not interested in their marketing calls yet they KEEP CALLING almost daily. It is getting really annoying. I have read the posts above and they clearly operate a scam within Australia.

I have been talking about a plan like this with Justin Geller from Matrix. They seem convincing but now I am skeptical! I spoke with one of their customers who is getting what he paid for... so far.
I can see how it'd run as a scam... use clients as solid referees, but when you run out of money from the kitty, pull the plug and stop providing a service. They only have a serviced office in Sydney, so no local presence really. (small cost to look local).

Thank you

So very close to going ahead with such an offer these scammers gave us. Three days of constant haggling from them and we were convinced to go ahead. Tried to do a bit of research on them and found very little until this page came up. We were minutes from going ahead with the deal. Shows that word of mouth can work both ways in business and we would just like to thank all the people who have come forward and exposed these scammers before we got bitten too.
Learn by other peoples mistakes and EXPOSE SCAMMERS what ever way you can, these threads are invaluable, so a huge THANKYOU to all your submits.

Wow! Thanks so much for the info. They sounded so convincing, I'm glad I did the homework. I've just wasted 45 minutes of precious work time.

Who can we report them to???? i have asked to speak to the mananger and told him to take me off his calling list to no avail.

OMP Marketing is a scam. One owner is based in Egypt, the other based in Australia. One phone number rings out, the other is disconnected. One of them keeps calling our business even though I have told him repeatedly that we do not accept calls from telemarketers. He then hangs up on me! I dont think he realises this behaviour would not be from a legitimite telemarketer! When i googled OMP Marketing scam, a link came up from 'Who calls me From'? and a lot of other people have the same issues. Some have been scammed many $$$$$ from this so called 'company'. It is very easy to have a fake online presence these days. Do not accept these guys' calls.

Unfortunately there is no field for 'Scam Call' so i have chosen 'Prank Call'.

Nearly scammed

These guys just called my Mum offering the same thing. I decided to speak to them, he wasted half an hour of my life and now I can't get it back. Anyone who needs to do the hard sell and make you search the ABN register to prove they're legit is always going to be dodgy, in my experience. Actually, anyone who needs to cold call and solicit their service is usually dodgy :)

Don't know the ins and outs of how they continue to get away with this, but hopefully someone puts a stop to them, soon.

I asked for their website and contact details. Whilst they were dribbling on. I did a quick reverseaustrlia.com phone look up to check who they were. I read a little of the history and then told them to take me off their call list and piss off.

Opm have been intouch with me
same as you guys
Im a stuggling small businees owner in melbourne
and thanks to you guys I am now well aware of the scam they are pulling
first they asked for $ 7000 for one year
then $3,450.00
then $2,450.00 for 3 months
and then finally $1,100.00 for 1 month
Thanks guys for exposing these pricks
I did a google search and alarm bells rang when they are not even on the first 10 pages of google
Youd think as they promise to get you on the first page. that they would also be on the first page, but no.
I ask a friend in Sydney to pop into there office in Sydney but had heaps of trouble finding out anything about them.
Luckily I did not have my credit card on me at the time as i may have given it a go

I just received a call from this company. I'd like to say Thanks to everyone that has taken the time to comment on this company. I believe you have all saved me some money. The alarm bells that rang the loudest for me were that they claimed to be experts in getting first page ranking on Google ect. yet their own company name didn't rank on the first page.

I've had the same result for the last few days. A guy called John from Online Marketing Professionals has been ringing from private numbers claiming to be in Sydney. The guy was very persistent and must have rung over 20 times with a Google Adwords guaranteed program. I had signed the forms ready to send and did a check on Google to see what others experiences had been. Thank you for your posts, it would have cost us a lot of money. When he rang back and I told him I wasn't interested he pulled the 'look at our testimonials' routine. The email address was the same, sam.mcclain @ om-p.com.au.
Be warned.

OM-P are thieves, they offer unlimited click google adwords campaigns at a fixed cost per month - google doesnt work that way - all they do is set an account up that you cant access and run a few ads - they are rude, lying, thieving, cheating scammers

All the comments above are the same experience I had. Called me from a private number, tried to sell me google advertising, got through to the end point where I filled the form in, but before I sent it to them I checked their phone numbers on their site. Toll free number was disconnected and this number just keeps ringing out. Sounded like a Philipino guy with an American accent. He got me to actually look up the ABN number and the fact that they had a Sydney city address to say this is a legitimate company, and I hadn't even questioned that, or hinted that I was suspicious. (that was the first alarm bell)
I contact ACCC's ScamWatch and they hadn't heard about them, but said it sounded very suspicious and that an ABN does not guarantee it won't be a scam. The email this Online Marketing Professionals sent me was from Sam Mcclain <sam.mcclain @ om-p.com.au>. Really glad I didn't go through with it.

Hope other's don't get scammed by them.
I've contacted the law firm registered at the address on the OMP website (Suite 104, Level 1, 105 Pitt Street Sydney) to let them know, and I've contacted the domain registrar. I hope somehow they will be stopped.

I have a business and at the moment these guys are trying to get me to hand over the $$$ it sounded suspicious from the moment i recieved the call.

Come on for starters, the delayed conversation over the phone, 2. i said send an email, nothing was sent. 3. Website with no testimonials or recent clients. 4. Phone number that just rings out. The list goes on!

Word by word, exactly what the above people are saying, this so called company is a 100% SCAM.

I contacted the police, they didn't care. So i thought this would make a good story so I contacted A Current Affair (Channel 9) and the lady i spoke just said "send an email"

If any others want to do the same, then feel free. We need to catch these f#*kers!

I feel for the people that have been ripped off, i just hope they find this thread before its to late!

Jennifer

Do not give this company the time of day in having a conversation. Simply tell them your company won't accpet calls from telemarketers.
I have just read the above posts and have experienced the exact same phillipino sounding guy with an american accent. I have told him we do not accept calls from telemarketers, yet he STILL calls. His whole manner was suspicious to me from the start...the accent, the delay in the phone quality and demanding to speak with the business owner. VERY PUSHY and rude. He hangs up on me as soon as I say 'we cannot accept calls from telemarketers'. This behaviour would be unlikely if it was a legitimite telemarketer with supervisors and recorded conversations. And yes, he STILL calls back a few days later asking for the business owner again. It is very easy these days to have a fake online presence. I just hope other small businesses do not fall for this scam.

Jennifer

This OMP company is a scam. They have a fake online presence. The address is a virtual office. The phone number is disconnected. The other number just rings out. DO NOT give this company any time on the phone. They are scamming people for $$$ for assistance with google placements. Apparently one guy is based in Cairo, Egypt. The other guy is based in Australia.

The OM-P thieves finally have names, one is an Egyptian living in Cairo, the other lives in Australia - both are directors of this SCAM company that preys on small business.
