Caller: Stated: Coles Financial Services Wanted my identifying information to confirm that they were speaking to the right person - although they had the correct last name for me (a detail I never mentioned), they never gave me any details for me to confirm that they had access to my information for checking. Sounded dodgy, so I gave them partial information regarding my email address and told them that the part I'd given was in all my email addresses, and that I didn't remember which one I'd given them. When dealing with Coles Financial Services proper, that's enough for them to confirm the other part, and to go on to the next bit they need to do; with this caller it caused them to end the call.

Caller: Said it was Coles Financial Services. Sounded like filippino woman - impossible to understand. Wanted information I was not willing to give over the phone. Apparently some special offer just for me - really!!! I phoned the number back on a landline and was told it was Coles Financial Services and someone would call me later. Good luck with that.

Just block the number on your phone so they can't bother you again.

Caller: They Say Coles Finanancial Sounded Indonesian or some other non-british non-first-language english speaker. New my name and my phone number, nothing else. Started with offering better interest, cash advance, or balance transfer. Said that she could not open my record without additional details (bull) Asked for my email to identify my record, when I said that "I did not call you and I need to identify YOU first" she mumbled some 1300 numbers etc and hung up.

i avoid answering calls, i screen everything that isn't in my phone book. if they leave a message (which my hospital, doctor, children's medical practioner's & school etc do) then i call back. i google every 02 etc number that calls me. i would assume same as everyone else has stated - it would be whoever governs Coles Mastercard (i have one with them). but as soon as i pay it off, i will be closing it as they moved to Citibank & i loathe citibank. they can keep calling, my ignore game is strong after living with 4 siblings. i pay my monthly amount & then some so i know i'm not in arrears, that's all i would talk to someone about. but they usually email me if i ever have fallen behind to contact them. so yeah, i'd be weary of authenticity

Caller: Said he was from Coles Financial services Asked me to verify my address and email. said he had offers from Cole like a lower interest rate. The info I gave him was too general so he left. I phoned Coles Financial Services and they said no one from Coles tried to contact me and this was not one of their number. BY the way they verify it is you by sending a code to your mobile.

From Coles Financial services (Subsidiary of Citibank) from some New Deli Indian speaker about some deal. I am on the do not call register, but because i have a card with CFS, they can bypass the register to offer me 'deals' that would otherwise violate the do not call criteria.
Citibank you are scum.

Caller: Coles/ Citibank Ever since Citibank bought out Coles Financial Services the whole thing has gone to pot. Citibank is unhelpful and makes you jump through hoops just to get a statement. Now they ring. Coles Source Card never ever did that. Big disappointment that it has all changed. Can't wait to get rid of them.

Caller: It may be Coles re Citibank the worst bank in Australia They are now just sending a text message saying you missed a call from (02) 9037 2532 and did not leave a message as I checked my recent calls and there was none and my phone was sitting on my desk in front of me no ring only the message beep when it arrived. They are being very sneaky typical of Citibank Coles should get away from them. I would not enter into ANY DEAL with Citibank they have a set ideology of their own and wish to enforce it on you eg I had Coles Credit Card for years and had set for RSL and YourTown tickets etc I had to shift to another card as they call it gambling I call it a form of a donation with a chance of winning also cannot do Tattslotto anymore my suggestion is we all write to Coles themselves or ring and ask them to flick Citibank for a more customer friendly lot.
