Caller: Claimed to be Vodafone Been receiving calls from this number, between 4pm and 9pm every day for the last 3 days. Rang back and receive a recorded message saying it is Vodafone and they had been trying to contact me. I rang Vodafone and was told, they record all calls from Vodafone on your account and no one from Vodafone has tried to contact me since 2018. Gentleman suggested I go to www.acma.gov.au and make a complaint.

Caller: Vodafone If you are with Vodafone and getting repeated calls from this number or any number claiming to be Vodafone DO NOT GIVE them details. Instead call Vodafone directly and tell them what's happening. My husband & I just called Vodafone ourselves. What we discovered is this; 1] If you are not the account holder they should never be calling you in the first place [we knew that]. 2] If you are the account holder and they call you they should NEVER be asking you details of your account [we also knew that] 3] Vodafone do outsource and some of those outsourcers employ people who get over zealous and call numbers they shouldn't let Vodafone know this as they will deal with it BUT there is 4th good reason to contact Vodafone as we just discovered. Some of those outsourcers have connections to scammers. That is why they can sound so incredibly the 'real deal' if you answer.
[I had demanded they stop calling me so this caller asked my name and I said 'Why? YOU called ME!" So she said "I need the account holders name". I said; "Well I'm not the account holder therefore all the more reason YOU shouldn't be calling ME"]
Vodafone have a policy to file police reports when their numbers are hijacked/used to scam. Two of the numbers calling me were this one and also (02) 9015 3806.
My husband had told me to block all the calls whilst he calls Vodafone directly via his account statement. I didn't block as I had one of my sixth sense feelings that they might want the numbers. I was correct We had a 20 minute chat where a police report has now been filed for each of the numbers that have been calling my number these last 4 days to the point of every TWO hours. Vodafone take this seriously and wanted every number that had called me so they can file reports. We even have a reference number for said filed reports.

The call then silence ... obviously a scam. I suspect they are harvesting my voice to use with voice-altering software - their voice is converted into my voice by the software. This is extremely dangerous.

Called 4 times over a number of days and never left a message. Likely a scam.

I am getting regular calls from this number for the few days. My phones shows suspected spam call so I didn't replied. It is becoming annoying.
