When I picked up and said hello there was complete silence, but when I listened really carefully I could smell bad breath.

I have worked in many call centres in Melbourne alongside Indian colleagues on the desks next to me who cop at least 50% more abuse than the rest of us, every. single. day. Please be kind and simply ask where they are based if thats important to you.

They said they were from"Waterfall" and that I had an account with them. I said I have no account with "Waterfall" and I hanged up. I now realise he was trying to say "Vodafone". Haha

Caller: Vodafone [however read on for details] If you are with Vodafone and getting repeated calls from this number or any number claiming to be Vodafone DO NOT GIVE them details. Instead call Vodafone directly and tell them what's happening. My husband & I just called Vodafone ourselves. What we discovered is this; 1] If you are not the account holder they should never be calling you in the first place [we knew that]. 2] If you are the account holder and they call you they should NEVER be asking you details of your account [we also knew that] 3] Vodafone do outsource and some of those outsourcers employ people who get over zealous and call numbers they shouldn't let Vodafone know this as they will deal with it BUT there is 4th good reason to contact Vodafone as we just discovered. Some of those outsourcers have connections to scammers. That is why they can sound so incredibly the 'real deal' if you answer.
[I had demanded they stop calling me so this caller asked my name and I said 'Why? YOU called ME!" So she said "I need the account holders name". I said; "Well I'm not the account holder therefore all the more reason YOU shouldn't be calling ME"]
Vodafone have a policy to file police reports when their numbers are hijacked/used to scam.
My husband had told me to block all the calls whilst he calls Vodafone directly via his account statement. I didn't block as I had one of my sixth sense feelings that they might want the numbers. I was correct We had a 20 minute chat where a police report has now been filed for each of the numbers that have been calling my number these last 4 days to the point of every TWO hours. Vodafone take this seriously and wanted every number that had called me so they can file reports. We even have a reference number for said filed reports.

Caller: Unable to understand I can see that Vodaphone gets attributed to this number but callers reporting very unVodaphone-like behaviours. I’m wondering if they haven’t just cloned the number & run it through VOIP to fool us.?
