Caller: scammer claiming to be vodadone said they were vodafone, once I confirmed they were the account holder. They sent a SMS which said "this is vodafone" and asked for you PIN. This apparently an SMS was proof they were vodafone. How stupid do people think we are? Indian accent. Scam.

This is Vodafone. I just confirmed. They do ask for your pin to ensure it is you and not someone else using your phone. I was told they should send you a text to confirm they are Vodafone. Even after all this you are still unsure Vodafone are happy for you to call them. 1555

Thanks to this website and the comments left I have blocked this number. I am a Vodafone customer and if I wish to speak with them I will call them myself. I’m happy with receiving offers via sms and email don’t want the harassment by phone especially if it may not be 100% legitimate.

Caller: (02) 9015 3801 apparently Vodafone Apparently Vodafone but I don't trust anyone asking for my PIN when I haven't called them! I received a text saying one of their members will call me but I don't trust this, I will go in store or call their number myself this could lead to soooo many security issues!

People are saying it’s real.
Guys, it’s easy to mask your number with the actual Vodafone number.
Don’t fall for this crap.

Pushy German accent wanting to update my Vodafone contract. He couldn't give any details before pin. bla pla pla and finally when I said I don't remember my pin he cut the call without saying anything. Even if this is some subcontractor company for Vodaphone this is not way to go. BLOCKED.

Caller: Vodafone This is actually from Vodafone but they have an outdated business model that relies on their customers voluntarily giving out their PIN to unsolicited cold callers (even when legit). That is just plain stupid. I've told them numerous times that there's no way I'm giving my PIN to anyone who's calling me, but they keep trying. A few times they tried working around it by offering to send me a text message to 'prove' that it's from Vodafone. Obviously, that still means nothing. I can send them a text message claiming to be from Dame Edna. Still doesn't make it true.

Bl**dy annoying. Rude people who just keep ringing your number even when you tell them the person is almost dying in aged care.

Caller: Vodafone This number is the Vodafone sales team. I just spoke to them, then rang 1555 and they confirmed it was correct.
However, Google displayed the call as a potential spam caller on my phone so I told the caller that I wouldn't give them any information on that call. She did send me an SMS from the Vodafone service number saying "you are speaking to a team member and we need your PIN". Even though it looked legit on my phone (same number as other Voda service messages) I told her I still wouldn't give her anything.
So it is legit but they need to look into that whole spam caller thing.
