Caller: Vodafone This number comes up on the Vodafone website list of contacts, I called them (1555) and asked and they confirmed it’s one of their numbers, calling to see if I wanted to update my plan because it was old. I got a great deal from it.

Looks like Vodafone. Received a SMS from Vodafone to confirm that I am talking with Vodafone. But I wouldn't do business with these callers.
Never give your personal details to any cold caller. If you want a service, always call them.

Caller: Vodafone This definitely is Vodafone. My friend works there and I called him straight away to say I got scammed and he confirmed they outsource other companies to make these calls. It is legit.

Problem is phone numbers can be spoofed so there's no guarantee it's actually from Vodafone even if it's showing a Vodafone sales number

I suspect this is a scam too. If not Vodafone need to find a better way to contact us, because no one believes unsolicited calls are not scammers these days.
