Caller: Indian Scammers pretending to be vodafone Received a phone call from 'Vodafone Care' making me think it was legitimate. Telling me I was entitled to 3 months of 40% discount. Normally I would be suspicious but the phone call I received came in as Vodafone Care and I am aware Vodafone uses Indian call centres. I admit I was silly enough to give them my pin number as I hadn't caught on yet. What made it look real was that I received a real text message from the real Vodafone requesting the code which I supplied to the caller. After waking up to the scam, I realised they are using this code at the exact same time to submit to Vodafone to order stuff on your account.
Also note, during the phone call, they transfer you to their 'supervisor' for further assistance which is another strong sign this is scam. Luckily I called the real Vodafone and changed the pin before any damage done.
As for the other messages on here saying the number is real?!? They are either the low life scammers, or just innocent people who have been convinced due to the elaborate set up.

I just got the same call offering half price for 4 months and it sounds like it was the same lady as I had to ask her to repeat what she was saying several times. I almost gave in but luckily I guickly googled the number. I told her if Vodafone wants to give me a discount, they can just give it to me, don't need my permission. Who would say no to a discount?

Caller: (02) 9015 3555 SCAM . Female caller Had a call this afternoon showing up on my phone as “Vodafone Care” , lady claiming to be from Vodafone with a very thick Indian accent making her hard to understand , saying because of my loyalty to Vodafone I’m entitled to 3 months of reduced plan payments. Asked for my pin to verify ( stupidity I hadn’t caught on and gave it ) and after about 10 minutes back and forth call was done . Checked emailed about 15 minutes later and they had ordered an iPhone 13 pro on my account with a new plan. Rang Vodafone and they confirmed it was a scam and cancelled all orders and changed pin. Stay vigilant!

Caller: (02) 9015 3555 They sent me a text msg prior to calling me, saying they are gonna run a standard nbn connection check for me, after the call (I didn’t take the call they left me voice message asking me to call them back) they sent me a second msg saying my nbn connection looks fine. First of all, I’m not with Vodafone, second of all my area isn’t covered with nbn.. Now “look-like legit” numbers may not be legit anymore. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!

Caller: Vodafone It’s legitimate. Ignored the first few calls as was out of my state. Checked the number and decided to answer the next call. I called Vodafone to change my plan maybe two weeks ago. Same Indian caller phoned back just checking I was satisfied with the plan and insurance. Standard policy imo. He never asked for my details etc. Legit. 👍 Still, annoying.

Caller: 02 9015 555 Called Vodafone on 1555 this morning to end a month to month service.
There’s obviously some issues as I seemed to get through to the call centre by getting my PIN wrong, only stating my name first name when asked to state my full name at certain points.
Dropped into a Vodafone store to check it at World Square and was asked by the store person what my PIN was, even prompted him that I should enter it but he asked again, which I gave him whilst someone looked on
Doh !
Be mindful people, you shouldn’t give your PIN to anyone

Caller: Vodafone It is Vodafone, I phoned them 1555 (Australia) Vodafone, after hours, voice machine said, ring back tomorrow. I then phoned 1555, stating a different enquiry, saying, Customer service, & I can't recharge. I was then patched through to the Vodafone Indian call centre. Absolutely perfect and my problem was sorted. An hour later I had a call from the number, Vodafone Australia in which no doubt the Indian Vodafone company has access to, as they should have of course, to help all World wide Vodafone customers out with 24/7. Yes we are on different time zones, Its a Huge Company, especially overseas.
