go along with them have fun give them no info they hate wasted time make them think that they have something going on then tell them a life story even if it has nothing to do with the product their trying to sell dont let them speak they will get frustrated keep talking to them about boring stuff do not let them speak it worked for me their time their money they get charged for that call keep them on as long as possible if everyone does it theyd loose money we win. They are scams.

This number called me i a week more than 4 times and never left a message ,so how can i trust them!?? noway not answering !!

If you are a St. George customer, and they ring you saying they have offers for other products, why would you automatically assume its a scam? Companies call their existing customers all the time asking if they'd like to go for another product - they all do it. Yeah it's annoying, but its not scamming. Also - why would they commit to calling back in an hour if its not an urgent matter? If it's not a dispute that they're following up on, its a waste of their time to call you back after an hour. You obviously weren't going to buy so they'll use their time calling other people who might. Then your number came up in their dialler again the next night - it's all automated. Also doesn't make them a scam. I just think its hilarious that people who are genuine customers of these companies think that a scam is occurring because they get a slightly out of the ordinary phone call. ITS CALLED SALES.

I've received a few calls too from the same number. When I call back there is no response, it says "Call back between 8 am to 8 pm, we'll keep you posted"

This number only calls to see if your number is active. It is machine dialling. They validate your number as active then sell it in a list to various companies such as tele marketers, market researchers.

So far they have called me five times in eight days. They don't leave a message. If you can't be arsed to leave a msg, I can't be arsed answering your call.

Caller: “Australian Taxation Department”

They just called me on this number saying they were from the taxation department that if I didn’t answer I’ll be prosecuted….seriously?? Soooo many desperate and dodgy scammers are out there!!!!

I also got this number calling me twice a day, very annoying, I tried to call back, but never got answer, I think they are scams, I blocked this number as I am using Iphone, hope I wont get any calls from them from now on.

This number has called me 5 times this week all to sell me insurance...wish they would take me off their calling list when I asked!!!

A spam call, but the caller knew the owner of this phone number.

I also received multiple calls from this number, St George life insurance apparently. In one occasion, they asked me about the life insure info letter sent to me, which I did received from St George. Luckily since I was busy at work I asked them to called me back later, so I didnt give out any information. Look like this number is trying out their luck to get info off you, beware!

I receive at least two phone calls from this number each day, this has been going on for about a month now. One day I answered and the lady said she was from St. George and as I was a customer of theirs (don't know how they knew that) they had some special offers for me if I'd like to hear them. I was curious if they were legitimate or not so I told them I was busy and asked them to call me back in exactly one hour. They didn't call me back until the following night, no voicemail as usual, so obviously I assumed it was a scam since a real banker would have made sure to call me back in an hour.

I'm so sick of the phone calls from this number at the worst possible times of the day. I just blocked it.

Number 1st called me a few days ago as a prank, rang once and hung up straight away and second time I let it ring out. Luckily I had come across this forum to tell me to not bother. Have now blocked the number on my iphone so they don't call again!

Yep, have been getting a call from these guys 2-3 times a day for the last few days. I havent answered as I dont know any one in NSW. They havent left a message. I am a St George customer... hmmm.

I called St George Customer Service and asked them why they were calling me and what they wanted. They said that that number doesn't belong to them so not to give them any info.

This number called at 7:30 when I tried to call back at 8:30 it went to a msg stating that the office hours are 8-8
