Caller: looks like its Meals On wheels,

Not another one - only just got off the list of another organisation who had become very annoying and now today the first of from this one.. How long before the next call. Luckily we didn't pick up.

Caller: Meals in Wheels

Starting early in the day, always give time and money directly to this fine organisation would not give this way as they only get a small percentage of your donation people calling get to to take the lions share.

Meals on Wheels mentioning raffle tickets. Said I didn't go in for raffles. See from other comments that this isn't that charity itself but a commercial fundraiser, whom I NEVER support because of the huge slice of donations they take. Asked whether there was a website and said I'd take a look at that and consider what I might do from there.

Not legit meals on wheels, see comment from Iggy43 above (thank you!). Love love meals on wheels, a fantastic charity. But when I donate I want to be sure all of it goes to them, not the telemarketing company.

I am sick of getting these people asking for money. I know this a good cause. I might start up my own charity and ask people to help out a poor old "single pensioner" because our coalition government surely won't. Charity start's at home.

the sad part about these so called Charity Calls is that the person who rings you is getting paid ...another number I put a block on.

Agreed! Many years ago in my 20's, when I was on the DOLE while looking for a job, I volunteered for Meals on Wheels delivering meals to the elderly who live alone and find it hard to cook for themselves etc. Meals on Wheels do a good job - I donate when I can. No need to be nasty about their cold calls, they do what they have to do to get by.

I blocked this number ages ago and it's still coming through. annoying
