I called back number (02) 9003 4356 reached voicemail for a foundation called australian cervical cancer foundation.

Unfortunately Jill, 'charities' or 'Non Profit organisations' are excluded from the Do Not Call Register. They're still free to call people. I have taken to not answering any more. If it is important and they want to talk to me, they can leave me a message.

These a**holes are supposedly calling on behalf of charities - from reading other trollees' comments, the Cervical Cancer Foundation. I believe this be total bullsh*t - I reckon they're just scammers masquerading as a charity to con you out of your hard earned 'readies'. Just had a call from this number on my (unlisted) landline - line dead when I picked it up so I couldn't even tell them to fk off. Just block 'em or don't answer the phone - I doubt very much they'll leave a message - scammers don't work that way. Sick to death of these people. Laws for these nuisances need to be strengthened enough to act as a deterrent and then ENFORCED!!!!

Keeps ringing non-stop, even on weekends. Utter scam.

Asked for a person at this number by name. When I told them she was not available and I could take a message the caller (heavy accent and would not stop talking) hung up. I get heaps of these unwanted calls from various numbers and it's getting very annoying! Especially since I am on the No Call Register.

The only way I can recommend to get around this is to have caller ID. We have a list of numbers that we don't answer in the hope that they'll eventually give up. They say they are non-profit but when I read that up to 50¢ in each $ can be paid to the people calling, I now refuse to assist.

Just befor I got a call from this number I did a survey From this number (02) 8091 0101 They tryed to get me to buy raffle tickets for cancer and wanted my bank card number tell them to go to hell like I did

I don't answer calls I don't know, particularly interstate. I have even had calls from Tunisia. Just don't answer.

The only problem is they use another number when u have blocked them and the new number is tied to the original number so u need to block that as well .

I am now able to block these numbers on my new cordless phone, it's great

Ring multiple times every day, never leave a message. Just ignore the number now.

persistent calls - they usually hang up if they get our answering machine or hang up if you do not say anything after picking up - did tell them to f@#* off the other day, but to no effect
