RSPCA Raffle, sounded like she was ringing from the toilet could barely string a sentence together. Hung up when I asked her "How would I know that you're from the RSPCA with all the scams going around" hmmm, Interesting.

Just called the RSPCA, I informed them I had just recivied a cold call from people representing them.
I assured them I would never donate to the RSPCA because of this call.
They claimed that cold calling is not tactics they normally would use, my information seemed to come as a surprise to them.
They took the number down the details I was able to provide.

I just had a missed call from this number... I'm on the do not call register. I called the back and it was an Raffle hotline for a charity... not happy. I don't see why charities are exempt with regards to the Do Not Call Register. I'm happy enough to support charities, in my own time, in my own way. I will never support any that call me on the phone.

Under the bike helmets legislation many of us are under a legal obligation to kill ourselves by cooking our brains. This enables us to exhort telemarketers to obey the law, with such gems as "When are you going to kill yourself/your entire family", "do you think that all Jews/women/Asians/fat people should be killed horribly", or "prove to me that you're not a criminal by killing the police commissioner".
They keep ringing back, though the number of calls are lessening.

Up to 4 times a day they ring.. I have the number in phone under seller so just don't answer it. With a bit of luck they will give up ringing when no one answers over and over again

Just had a call from this number and it was a answer machine type thing say "Sorry can not take your call at moment. please ring back later" I check the ID number and found it on here. Well I'm sick of getting all the hung up calls. I will never again give any money to the charities over the phone. I have in the past but never again. I hope the charities read this site and what a pain it is for others and how they are making people not want to help them. I have just sent off a email to Heather Neil at the RSPCA. I think other should do the same. Just go to the RSPCA website and hit the contact link and say what u want and send it off. Maybe if we all do this they will re think how they ask for money.

Over and over they call and then hang up. Last call 8.30 last night after a series thru' the day. How to stop them? It costs 35c to use star/ten/hash to find out who caller is . I don't have caller ID) but may have to pay to have caller ID put on landline THUS IDENTIFYING THESE B******* WHO KEEP ON CALLING THEN HANGING UP

These are "robocalls" from outsourced call centres engaged by Australian charities. The "robot" call-management system calls your number, and it is programmed to listen for "hello" and other common greetings, as well as being able to tell if you're using an answering machine. It then considers your number a "live" number and sends it to call-centre queue for a call centre agent to call you back at some later time, to beg you for money for aussie charities like the RSPCA and the SES. I make it a point to *never* donate to charities who do this.
