i called it just then, and no-one answered, it just played on-hold type music. i am with virgin but i dont know if that has much to do with it. some kind of spam/scam thing. i would block it if i could

How can we stop this? or at least lodge a formal complain?

True, it's all Phones trying to ask you to upgrade your phone or get a new phone.

my friend is getting calls too and she finds it very annoying! She called back and a call centre from Sydney Harbour answered... creepy...

It is virgin calling from this number as I've managed to answer one of them. It was to offer me a new phone and phone plan as mine was coming to an end.

I am with Virgin as well. most likely is their cust service cause i just email them last night.

I have gotten a few calls from this number lately. But don't answer coz it looks dodgy.Who is it?

The number (02) 8986 3090 keeps calling my phone because the plan has expired.  They won't say who they are and won't take no for an answer.  I am only interested in a getting a handset running Windows Phone 8 (WP8 Apollo), and that all current Windows Phone Models will never be upgraded to WP8.  But that is another issue.

Same thing here... so annoying, I got 9 missed calls in a row from the number!! When I've answered, I get that "operator" message - talk about a scam!!!
