Appeared to be a scam. They were after personal details Said they were from Telstra. Kept telling me that there was something wrong with my internet connection which was untrue I cut them off but they rang back again and I let it ring out. Later the same evening the same number was ringing again so didn't answer.

Caller: Claiming to be Telstra Said my computer was open to hackers. I told them my home phone is not linked to the internet and hung up. The called again but from a different number.

Caller: “Telstra” Call to say I had a problem with my computer. He became annoyed when I kept asking for the next steps (as I was ‘writing them down’) instead of going to my computer and inputting a ‘run command’. Managed to frustrate him with “You’ve called me, assuming I have a computer, and when I ask you what the next steps are so I can write them down, you accuse me of having no common sense - that’s a bit rude, isn’t it?” 15 seconds of silence, followed by them hanging up.

Caller: Telstra spam This number has rung about 10 times over the last two days. Makes no difference whether I talk to them, leave it to ring out or just leave the phone off the hook.
