Just got a call from some curry muncher from Optus. Simply hung up.

Caller: "Department of home affairs"

Scammer BS. "Multiple warrants out for my arrest" "Press 1 to speak to a federal Officer" Didn't press anything, phone disconnected.

I have had 2 calls on a new mobile but it only rings once and then leaves a message about optus 147

People from INDIA are using Optus (giving FAKE REASONS) to ring numbers to find out the name of the resident. INTERNATIONAL STALKING AND HARRASSMENT!

I am indian and we call you and we cant talkin english we get paid 2 dollars per day and leave you on hold for 1 hour because were to busy taking a sh*t because all the curry we eat hence optarse long wait times....

It was a call from Optus about booking in my installation appointment for NBN. They were meant to show up two days ago, but heard nothing. He said there was a probIem with the technician. I was expecting this call. Did not answer first call. Looked up your site. Then I answered the second call straight away. Indian guy as well, didn't want to know about another concern I had, just to book in this appointment. Normally I find Optus reps quite pleasant but this guy was almost rude - focused on his task and that was it.

Why can't Telstra or OPTUS block no caller IDs' .They must know hwre the call came from.

It is Optus. I just had someone from their tech support phone my number to test if my calls were coming through at my request.

Just received a phone call from them, said they were from optus and had a very thick Indian accent.

Ask to speak to someone and i said "im sorry you have the wrong number". She said "no go put her on". I said "im sorry you have the wrong number" ... i thought for a moment and replied "i am with optus, you should know my name. I am with optus for my mobile that you are calling."

She hung up. Do we know this is actually optus's number?

No message left, called twice, and on this page I found it was probably Optus. Thank you Reverse Australia, finally, thanks to your page I found who was unknown caller.

Missed call from this number with the following msg sent to me by text:
"Hi mum(?) I just want to check if you received the delivery seen taking(?) the delivery. Thank you. Bye. Take care."

Received a call from this number at 3.40a.m. The line was then open for the next hour.

Called me on mobile (not with Optus) and house phone (Optus) . It was Indian and male. Voice mail said he would call back. Very difficult to understand message, hence why I looking up the number on the Internet to find out who it was.

Called me by my first name as if he was known to me.

Called 9;30 on a Sunday night then again Wednesday night same time no voicemail.

Good job he wasn't Australian, he would have been even ruder.

It is just Optus call centre with their usual hassle.

Receiving call late at night. What's the go OPTUS!!

I got this call also. It maybe Optus.!
However sometime ago I got a call from someone said he was from OPTUS.( sounded Indian he was extremely rude) So I called the telecommunication ombudsman who checked and found that the call actually came from overseas, and NO way connected with Optus. There's is no way they can actually stop these people.

It only rang once, no message. But after reading this, it would be Optus for sure. I signed up with another company for Internet so they cut my business Internet with no warning, then took two days to admit that is why it wasn't working, although it was paid for. My business relies on Internet, lucky for them I missed their call.
