My answering machine connected to this call, so by the time my answering machine had finished saying please "leave a message" it only got to record the second half of the scam as the caller had their message set to start playing when someone answers. However, the answering machine got enough to know that it was clearly a scam. The message claims to be from Telstra and that my internet is going to be terminated in the next 24 hours if I don't press option 1 or 2. In no way would Telstra contact me or anyone in this manner. They would never use a computer to prerecord a message to randomly call you. Telstra, or any other internet provider for that matter, already have your contact details if you have a connection and they mail you directly for any upcoming account changes weeks ahead.
