Claims to be doing a survey that gives you a couple of chances to win prizes. Instead, they ask if you have heard of several different charities. Whether you say yes or no, they give a brief description of what they do then ask if you support what they do. If you say Yes to any of them, they pass your details on to the charity who then starts calling you, after donations. The original "survey" mob also try to sign you up for a couple of wine clubs and cruise/holiday marketing companies who flood you with emails.
I believe this caller is breaking the regulations as I am on the Do Not Call list. They are not a charity or a political group.

Older woman called asking for my address very quickly on the basis of entering a survey competition for a $500 gift card. Seemed very suspicious.

Thank you for informative answer. I did receive call several times from above number. However, I rarely answer unknown numbers. Anyway, your answer was helpful and I appreciate it. Thank you!

So this woman "Margaret" calls and says they are a "Survey Company"...i told her I was looking them up online as we spoke, she then said that the true name of the company was Brand Leaders. Neither brought up much on google. She had my name and my phone number. when I asked where she got it from she said just from a list she was given. She was Australian and quite a mature aged woman. anyway she started asking if I owned my home, what my income was, did i own a pet, was I single, married etc etc etc ..... Just made me feel really uneasy so I will be blocking her number and redirecting any emails to trash.

I've had 4 calls 4 days in a row at about 10 am each day. Have been at work until today and thought I'd check it online and found this. Rings a handful of times then stops, and never leaves a voicemail.
