Got a call at 8:19pm, was surprised it sounded like a real person... quickly left the call as it sounded like a survey from a non-government source

Scammers - for gods sake Telstra block them, or give me their address

Called me up at 8pm and told me they were a survey company. Asked me if now was a good time and I said no. They asked me if another time would suit and I simply told them I wasn't interested in taking a survey. At that point he got irate and hung up on me. Very professional!!!!!

When number came up not in my contacts list and came through as suspected spam. No message left so blocked number, if they are a research engine then they should leave a message. Not interested in receiving numerous calls through the day from people who don't want to leave a message and identify themselves

Went to voicemail, my message states "Please leave a message, if you don't, I will assume your another scamner & block your number!" They left no message, I'm on the Federal Governments 'Do Not Call' register, so these scum are BLOCKED!

That is because the companies don't know whom they are ringing. These companies simply ring blocks of numbers and hope someone answers. Of course, soon as some answers their call, the company know they found a live one.

You may be a survey company, but my phone is listed on the Do Not Call Register. As far as I am aware, calling me is not allowed and I really don't want to have to deal with it at 9am on a Sunday morning!! I would suggest that anyone who receives a call from this number blacklist them. They are obviously not reputable!

Called after 8pm, even if they are legit I'd never answer a random call at that time.

Was blocked by call catcher who identified as a scam number, now blocked on my mobile. Thanks call catcher for catching this one.

being as I work as a telemarketer your details are given out by companies that sell them on, buying raffle tickets sometimes a box to check for not sharing details, Facebook, frequent flyer cards & reward cards just to mention a few. Even disgruntle partners or friends. I have noticed in recent time that Telstra has put a screen over suspected spam calls as a precaution as does Android phones, so I have noticed on my phone many extra blocked calls each day. They even blocked private numbers on my Samsung note 10 all go straight to V/M now so missed a call from the ATO LOL. Be mindful that Australian Gov calls eg survey calls & charity calls are exempt from DNC lists. My calls go through an auto dialer we as telemarketers are told not to leave a message ( I personally don't agree with that ) and we don't have control over how many rings it will call you, so many people think we just hang up its not the case for great telemarketers at all or companies as we are all recorded by LAW. I personally pride myself in my style (never scripted) I don't push my callers I present to them & listen to them, hence I am successful & respected by my peers & the company I work for. So I hope I have helped you understand how your details can get out there, it a tough job that so many people think we are brainless people scamming you I would say 'no we are not all like that ' we are hard working Aussies doing what we do to make a living, I would much rather be on stage entertaining people but there's not much money in that. dont answer this ruse idiots..called me just now , i told him i was at work, then he said when is the best time and i politely told him that i dont take any surveys over the phone and would like to decline.. his reply was WHATEVER then hang up .
