Caller: Oliver?

My samsung flagged it as spam. The number called me yesterday, and now this evening left a message.

Strangest message. "Hi this is Oliver, just call the number!"

F##k off Oliver.

They call, as soon as I answer, they hang up. I guess someone doing surveys and getting paid by the amount of numbers they call. Pathetic.

Been having a few dodgy phone calls lately. I did not answer this, they did not leave a message.
Always a bit wary if the caller does not leave a message.

I have had a call from this number numerous times over a number of days. Today I was called on Sunday!! I screen all calls and refuse to answer a number that’s unlisted in my contacts. Why was a message not left on those occasions, if they are as they say a survey group? Why ring again and again and again. There are at least 25 million other Australians to call.
I’m not impressed.

I asked what I would get for taking the survey. Nothing. What? Engine wants to take up my time to do a survey yet won't recompense me even though they're getting paid. Someone's getting shafted here and it's not Engine.

Rang daily. Found missed calls on my phone even on the weekend. Blocked number.

(02) 8912 5632 bloody annoying put first call on reject list now they use another number to ring its on the reject list as well, wonder what number will be tomorrow. they should go back to school and learn the meaning of DO NOT CALL which means do not call and yes there is a law its called common sense. i now google any number that i don't recognize on my phone google is very handy at times.

Also received an unwanted, unsolicited phone call from this number. If no-one answers, they do not leave a message. A legitimate survey researcher would leave a message to call back. Doubt that this is a legitimate survey.

ACMA state that legitimate survey companies can bypass the 'do not call' register, however if they try to sell you something as part of that call, they are classed as a telemarketer and you can lodge a complaint about them. Also, if they are calling on behalf of Tourism Australia, perhaps complaining to that organization will make them cease calling. If it is indeed a scam, then Tourism Australia might be concerned to learn they are involved.

The best answer is, if you don't know who's calling you, and you don't want them to keep calling you, then block their phone number. And do this after the first time they call. Also, if you don't know who the caller is, let it go to voicemail to see if they leave a message - and, make sure you don't provide your personal details in your voicemail message. A simple voicemail message would be "can't take your call right now, leave your name, phone number and reason for calling so that I/we can get back to you". It's all that's needed because a legitimate person would leave their details so that you can call them back.

They probably don't have your number. They just ring random numbers until they get someone to answer.

Scam I don't asker

Got 3 calls in 3 days, so blocking this nuisance call.

Called me twice within two days, i did not answer. They didn't leave a message people are saying its a travel survey which doesn't make much sense as barely anyone has been allowed to travel due to the pandemic? I belive it is a scam because it would make sense to at least leave a message stating that they are doing a survey and to call back if you will participate

Called me same time everyday!!! Any way we can stop this?

From the comments above, obviously a survey company. I hung up on them. Too many scam calls these days, I didn't know who they were. Surveys should be sent by mail.
