Bloody Irish backpackers! Surely they could find a job as a dish-pig, bar tender, or construction worker! Yes, another scam 'phone call to brighten up my day.

Sounds like I had the same lady ring me last night asking if I had been in an accident within the past 12 moinths & that I could be entitled to $8000 in enttitlements for damages, pain etc. Gave me a web address to go & visit (no bloody way lady), & that she would call back the next day. Still yet to hear from her. Definate scammmer. Kept fishing for information, without giving any dinfinate info.

Just had them call me asking about an accident in the past 12 months. Don't own a car so they messed up there. But it was an accent and I couldn't understand what she was saying. Sounded UK or Scottish maybe. Told them I don't own a car and I'm giving their number to the police.

Claim to be 'Motor Vehicle Aftercare'. They ask phishing questions about any motor vehicle accidents you may have had in the last 12 months.

I've had these guys call several times at work. They go through all the direct dial extensions in order - we now take bets on when and where the next call will come in. If you have the time and want to have some fun, tell them to hold, and get one of your workmates or just someone nearby to take the call as being a legal representative for the claimant. See how long you can keep 'em going before they realise they're the ones being scammed.

Rang my mobile asking for me with my maiden surname and initials, which I have not used for at least 7 years. He said I have had a motor vehicle accident in the last two years. As some people have said above, the fellow had a UK accent, and he tried to argue when I told him that I think this is a scam call and that shouldn't be calling.

My phone already knows this spammer and rejects it. It's a fake accident company. Why doesn't Police / ACMA do something about these repeat offenders?

Also had a call a few minutes ago from the same number - immediate hangup when I answered. I've now blocked the number. Illegtimate offspring.

Just had the call. Same thing, lady with uk accident. Couldn't understand the company name after asking 4 times but can easily understand what she was asking. SCAMMER - BEWARE. Ask about motor vehicle accidents to get personal information. Call recorded and forwarded to authorities.
