HOW TO SUSS OUT SCAMMERS ON THE PHONE. A little hint for everyone. If you have the caller number display, and the number looks suss, let it
ring seven times, without answering, and they usually hang up on the seventh ring and will try someone
else. Even if you don't have caller number display, let every incoming call ring more than seven
times, and then answer it as it may be one of your friends, and not a scammer. So, tell your friends
this, and tell them that if your friends ring you, you will wait for the eighth ring before answering,
unless of course, you already recognize the number as one of your friends.

Yep had two of these calls from different numbers, the other number is (02) 8417 2795. Messages left on answering machine. Why can't the police do something about these bogus calls. Track the number backwards.

This caller says they are from the ATO. They threaten legal action and try to scam callers into handing over their credit card details. This number is not ok. I will find the people who operate these numbers, follow them home, have their address posted on line. Everything, their partners, their children, their home and even the pets..........

don't bother to answer or call back this no. (02) 8880 0460 as this is a scam to steal your money.
no tax officers will call you about fraud or evasion and about owing money to the tax office.
just hang up when you hear the accented caller
