I received this scam call today - chap was very pushy and rude but knew enough details of the accident I was involved in and states that I can get $20 000 compensation - especially if I'm having pain .... the accident was 3 years ago!! It screams scam!

Thankyou for your report. I just got this exact same message. He just called me by my surname only. He said the accident wasn't my fault and I could get $10,000 to $25,000 for an accident. I asked who gave him my phone number and he said very quickly that he was asked by (very quickly speaking a company name). He asked me for the police report number, which I don't have on hand. I asked him why didn't he send me out a letter to fill out. He said he would. I was suspicious from the start and then googled the phone number and found this. So thankyou very much for posting.

Fake RTA insurance scam. The guy who rang me asked if I was Mr Julie (Wife's first name). When I said no, he said it was about a car accident listed against our property and he was calling about compensation for damages to us (The accident wasn't our fault) He then spent the next ten minutes fishing for details about the crash and telling me that even though we were not injured we were eligible for $10,000 to $15,000 per person in the car. His english was very broken and when I questioned him multiple times he just continued talking over me. We never made an RTA claim and his 'details' were partially guessed and the rest sounded like it was from an accident summary report they could get easily online. I told him I really needed to go and wanted to call him back later. He gave me this number. Scam
