Trying to get me to sign up to a "free trading course" and insisted he wasn't making a marketing call. So, I'm sure a complete stranger from an institution I've never heard of would call me about said trading course without a profit motive. That's marketing and I'm on the do not call register.

For context: I have been a professional trader in the past and these guys share information, which ends up in loads of marketing and the much more insidious scam calls trying to convince you your broker is in receivership and you need to consult with them to get funds returned.

Unsolicited calls from businesses are illegal if on the Do Not Call Register. It's time people understood this.

In the end he got fed up and hung up. Glad I could frustrate another time waster.
