Caller: Australia RFSA I have contacted the NSW RFSA and this number is good. The problem I think is. They call me on LandLine phone (NBN) and I did not answered. But when called me on cell phone I did answered, they are fair dinkum guys from RFSA. I did contribute to a Raffle, I always do. Check ACC money and the agreed amount is gone but confirmed this directly with RFSA and it was registered Ok, thank me, and gave me a Receipt No,.... for my peace of mind. The problem is they continue calling me on the landline phone via this same phone (02) 8823 3046), because they did not take me out of their listing. Two different phones, same person, they just kept trying the other. Need RFSA fixing. Once constribution is done subject must be taken all other phones for the same person. Cappicci??>..

Answered call today. Customer service officer indicated he was requesting donations for RFS. Indicated that I had already donated and he politely ended call. Now blocked.

Caller: (02) 8823 3046 Absolute scam!!! Be careful of this number. They tried calling me several times throughout the week but every time I answered they would hang up. They called again today and I spoke to a young gentleman claiming he was selling raffle tickets to raise funds for the NSW RFS. He sounded very legit too! After some investigation I have checked it out and they are definitely not apart of the NSW RFS. I have also reported them to Scamwatch. Blocked!!

100% scam call. Also seems the scammers themselves are putting in comments about this being legit. Reminder for all. No legit business calls asking for cc details due to high number of scam calls in general.

I answered the call from a “Georgia” asking for donations towards buys raffle tickets, after stating to the lady I currently am unemployed and had nothing to give she mentioned a form to be sent out. As I declined she just said okay and hung up.

NSWRFS, they are legit, they call me every year and I always get my raffle tickets, they have called me sooner rather than later this year obviously because they are in dire straits even with the rain.

The NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) have reported that scam phone calls are being received across the State, where people are claiming they are raising money for the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS). In response to this, the NSW Rural Fire Service wishes to make clear that the RFS does not accept or solicit donations by telephone. Some local brigades undertake fundraising in this way, however they identify themselves as the Brigade and not as the Service.
