The guy kept insisting on talking to Mr XXXX- and asking when he would be home, despite the fact that I kept telling him that it was a business line. He got frustrated and told me "fXXX off" NICE!

Got a call from this number, a woman asked me my name and I confirmed it was, then she hung up.

I have now registered with DNCR.

Bezz It's a bit hard to do that when all they do is call and hang up. Again and again and again......

3 calls in 15 mins, they is no one there when you answer. so over it..

The people behind this number keep calling, at all times of the day, evening and weekends and they NEVER leave a message but keep trying. How do you stop them from calling!!!

I just had the same experience as Brett. So now they have confirmation of my name, will they stop calling & hanging up when I answer (happens 2-3 times a week, last night 4 times!)?

They just called me and I was busy so sent the call to message they left a message and called back, sent to message again and they left another - To note each time they do not say who they are. I rang the number back and says from modern where I need to leave a message - no way would I ever use them after years of these type of calls I wish they would just buzz away. Talk about bad customer service.

The call just hangs up when answered. It is very time wasting and frustrating. It drives me mad!

it's a call centre for companies such as the Modern Group, who phone every couple months, with typically two calls within the same week. Give them a false name and address and tell them you just given the new phone number last week, so as to get your "real" name out of their database.

for some reason this number keeps ringing me about a minute after i get home from work atleast 2-3 times a week. Dont bother calling back as they will not answer

I got a call every few hours from this number plus faxes too. So annoying. Don't tell them anything. When you do get them on the line just leave them on hold.

Mates,Got calls from this number, and strangely I was not able to answer on 2 occassions it happened, calling back no one answers and as others have pointed out, the tone is different.See what happens!

I just rang the 131178 number it is Modern and the lady was very nice, she took my details and advised that the number will be removed.  Fingers crossed.

I have recieved a few calls from (02) 8818 2377 but I hate answering any number I don't know so I haven't answered... I did get curious today and called them back, the ring changed tone after i dialed the number but noone answered. I then tried to google the number on my phone to no avail as my phone had no internet reception or whatever ya call it. I just googled it then and came up with this page... The information here is very helpful so thank you all for your input! It helps! Now I know not to answer it I'll put the number in my phone book as D.N.A (Do.Not.Answer) like everyone elses numbers I don't wish to answer. If it gets too frequent I'll take further action but we'll just see how it goes. Thanks Again!!!

Same problem as above. Rude and invasive. Annoyingly they seem to have both my wifes mobile and our home number. Rang the modern group and they say they got the numbers from this company http://www.dsadata.com.au/. So dodgy. Registered with Do Not Call Register this morning. Its the only way to get these companies in trouble.
