Hi all, i also received 2 calls in last 2 weeks from this number, offering me free wifi modem and free mobile phone. but when i asked the details from the caller about who she is? and where is she calling from? she pretended she cant hear me and hung up.
Called vodafone, but as you all mentioned, Vodafone won't confirm if their call centre making calls or not.
i think its a scam for sure.

I'm a vodafone user as well...

Just got called from this number today and a lady asked to speak to Neil ( owner of company I work for whose name phone is registered under) gave her his number expecting to to be work related and also asked if I could help her which she said no and hung up straight away which led me to think something wasn't right. Messaged the boss and he hasn't gotten a call yet from the number. My mobile is with vodaphone and the lady has got to be from vodaphone to know who owns the number as every other database has this number linked to me.

Also getting calls from this number they dont leave voicemail and have rang me for the last 3 days in a row! I tried ringing them back like that they dont answer and the ring tone is different as if its overseas very strange

I'm with vodafone also - keep missing the call can't really be bothered calling back but all im interested in is some more reception in ellenbrook WA!!!!!

Same thing is happening to me with this number. They've rung me twice in the past week! First time they didnt speak and second time I missed it. Is there anyway we can report this number or something?? Seems it could be a scamming person of some sort! By googling the number this is all I come with so might aswell share my story too!!

I also got a call from (02) 8789 4450 and I actually answered it. The person did not introduce themselves but told me I am eligible for a free phone. I thought that was strange because I just recently got a new phone which I had to negotiate beccause I was not eligible for an upgrade yet. So I asked who it was and she said she was Linda from Vodafone and that I was eligible for free mobile broadband. I still thought it was a bit weird but I am interested in mobile broadband so I expressed my interest and she hung up. Now currently on hold with vodafone to check if this is a legitimate call.
