Purportedly from Australia Post, A scam call Beware

Jade from "Australia Post" called our business wanting to do some housekeeping on our account. Rattled off a few details that could all be found online, then rattled off an old address. Aus post who we deal with daily, would surely have a current address. Assume its a scam to add the business to phishing schemes or whatever these weirdos do

Why would Aus Post put so much effort in to ringing so regularly just to "update my details". I call B.S. Big Red flag.

Caller: Jade from "Australia Post"

Jayde advised that they hadn't made contact in 2 years (not true, they call us regularly every week or so) and Australia Post were wanting to talk about the upcoming Christmas period and confirm some details. She said she would send through an email about the Christmas period and it would basically be talking about getting parcels in early because it is peak season. I told her I was skeptical and this number is registered as a scam number. She then gave me our Account Number for Aust Post which I can't verify as I can't see any Account Number on our Aus Post invoices. After the call, she sent a dodgey email, clearly spam, it was sent from: jayde.williams79 @ busgov.auspost.com.au. The email read:

Caller: Jade from Australia Post

Caller left message saying they were Jade from Aus Post. Calling from an 02 number but she said to call back during Victorian business hours. Victorian numbers start with 03, not 02. We get these calls regularly. One day I called back and they said they want to speak to our CEO who is the Account Holder regarding the Account. I said can you tell me what it's regarding exactly so I can send him a message as otherwise he's unlikely to call. She couldn't give me any more detail.

Called my mobile three times last week and I told them to stop, they called me again today and left more voicemails scam centre

Call from Andrea at AusPost. As I had a scam caller previously about Auspost, i asked her for a few details (like my account number and what was my last transaction (detail and amount) in FY24) - both answered correctly.

Australia Post.....deal with it..... you know party claims to represent you.

Call center for Australia post was able to verify company not a scam

Called from aus post they could confirm they called from Auspost sent me an email from a verified aus post email after I asked them to prove not a scam number is legitimate

Stated they were from Australia Post. Called asking to speak to our manager to confirm our account details were up to date and to discuss the user portal for business support.

Caller: Ethan

Ethan called from Auspost to help finalise business accounts, confirm the details they have are correct, finish setup the business account with Auspost so it's valid number.

Caller: Jenna and Max

Claims to be Australia Post. 1st call too many questions they should know. 2nd and 3rd call clearly scammers

This number is ringing me daily and leaving a message that they are from Australia Post. In my experience with Australia Post, it is pretty unlikely someone would ring up unless there was an email first. So I am guessing it is a spam call
