Isn't it alarming when these people call & knew all our details? Where to report this number & callers?

Claimed to be from NBN. Knew all my details. Offered me all these cheaper rates from NBN. Then when I queried if they were Telstra kept telling me all my things will remain the same, same line, same network blah blah blah and Telstra will come if I have a problem. I had to query if the bills will be from Telstra, and he said nothing will change only difference is that to get the discount the bill will be from NBN Total Telecom Australia. SO, in other words they were going to change my telephone company. Big scam....

This is exactly what I've been getting for the last 3 weeks. got 2 alone today. Only on my mobile not home phone. So I've saved it as annoying no don't answer.

They're calling me from (02) 8668 5799 on my privately listed land line. Whenever I pick up it is silence for a few seconds then there is a recorded "Goodbye". 4.45pm like clockwork every day.

It is an Indian call centre trying to sell your phone line. it starts by saying they are dropping your bill, then sign up to a new plan. They are not your current provider, but if you get calls keep the line open as long as possible as the per per second so lots of useless calls will cost them money and tie up lines. I feel sorry for the people on tehphone as they are only trying make a living. It is the almost criminal owners that need to be stopped. See http://www.acma.gov.au/Industry/Telco/Reconnecting-the-customer/TCP-code/sure-telecom-multiple-breaches-of-consumer-code
Used the same scripted almost word for word. These are really stupid owners though because the "Business Corporate House of NBN" would be selling nbn not landline. Have put this in as I have heard this one before

Block (02) 8668 5799. Waste of my time! Can't be important if they never leave a msg – after many calls

This number is a scam. They have called my mobile at least once a day for the last week and as everyone above has said - it's a scam.

They rang at 10pm and scared the life out of my mum who has a frail father. No one calls this late unless it's an emergency. These people need to be found and called at all hours

Get calls from them a bit if there is a pause when I answer I just hang up. What really boils my potatoes is the ones that call from blocked numbers. I ring Telstra and say I want to block all calls from unlisted numbers...can't do that they say...even though when you do *10# they can identify it as a blocked number..."it's a privacy issue" they say...."I say they must want to talk to me otherwise why would they be ringing?...so why would they want privacy?"

I got a call from this number at 2:05PM 14/11/2015, caller ID showed the number as (02) 8668 5799. I answered with our usual company patter. The line appeared dead, I said "Hello?" and an automated voice responded "Good-bye" then hung up. This number immediately goes on the call-barring list, but now whoever runs this operation have determined that a person answers our phone, they will probably call again from different number blocks, even though we are listed on the "Do Not Call" Register - which is now an indefinite registration. Businesses who call repeatedly can be reported to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (acma.gov.au) for failure to comply with business telecommunications laws.
