Same as other writers here - 'Jenny' from NBN Total Telecom Australia. she put me through to her manager when I questioned her about this deal because I pay my bills on time. I was asked to verify my details. I refused, and said I would call my provider. Was told ' we have all your details here', and then proceeded to recite my address. I terminated the call.
Very suspicious for a telecom company to be calling with such a terrible phone line!

Just had a call from this number said her name was Rachel and gave me a ref number, she knew my name and said they were from nbn working on behalf of Telstra so none of my details would change with Telstra etc when I said no thanks he practically yelled "why Mam" 😁 In my ear....I just hung up

Like others, received call on my mobile from a person with an Indian accent saying they called on behalf of Australia NBN. This person went on about how I could save lots of money and get better internet connectivity, etc. Pretty unclear and quickly became suspicious when they asked me what my home phone number was. Clearly scam, not sure where they get the info from (they had my name, mobile phone and personal email address).

Well looks like i may have just been scammed then. I usually hang up and say I'm not interested but this time i thought i would listen. They sounded legit. I should've trusted my first instinct to hang up. Very similar to other peoples stories where i spoke to lady claiming to be from total telecom NBN Australia a government organisation. I gave out more info than i should but no financial info. than i spoke to her boss Joel Mathews. They gave me the number 1300 857 703 to call them on though they called from this number above. I have no money but am now very worried about my personal details including where i live!!! This is what happens when you are overtired etc.. The unreal thing is i gave them a hard time questioning them over & over & they came across convincing. :( So mad for taking that call.

Keeps having this number calling everyday when not at home. I called the number and says mailbox is full. I really do wish they start cracking down on these numbers who getting compliants made against it and simply block them out and put them in jail. Isnt there a such thing as harrasment and scam calls they can do and put them up in fines and jail terms? What are they doing about it?? Seems like they aint doing anything about it at all. Telstra scams been going around for yrs and yrs and they do nothing about it. Even tho telstra is aware of the problems! Think its time the authories do something about it. Maybe then it wont be so many harrasments and scams going around hey! Its not so hard to trace the number of where it comes from and raid them!

I also got a call from Jack (Indian accent) who said he was from NBN Total Telecom Australia. He said I was being offered a good rate because I pay my bills on time. He knew my email address, name and amount we pay on bills. He also gave me a Reference Number and the price they would charge. I said we don't even have NBN in our area. I told him it didn't sound right to me and hung up.

They will call at all hours. It's a disgrace that they have not been shut down.

I simply don't answer numbers I don't recognise....exceptions being, when job searching etc, which is frustrating....I NEVER confirm my identity in ANY way. Always ask who is calling before even acknowledging your first name.....if the caller is unknown to you and unsolicited, simply hang up......in the case of this no., I didn't answer. The following day, called on a different no., and was told by rec message " mailbox is full, and please call on my own no., to set up mailbox" ..... WTF!!!! Dodgy as hell! I agree with whoever said, the responsibility is with the phone company/carrier. SHUT THE f*ckING NUMBER DOWN. Cheers

Had this number call my work and because they're just scammers I don't think they realise who they call as I am the receptionist and they just started talking at me like I was the owner. Anyway, the Indian lady introduced herself as being from NBN. She just rambled on about how much I was going to save on my phone bills from now on, the usual spin. (I let her go for about 10 minutes before interrupting because I was feeling lazy and not my usual "eff off" self). Note: I don't like just hanging up on them, I like to make them hang up on me. So I just repeatedly stated that she needs to give this information to our account manager, about 5 times or so as she kept saying "we will be talking to them but just listen to me" which of course got my back up lol. So I started getting abrupt asking her to confirm our account manager's name, my name, phone, email and account number. She of course didn't have this information (because they're scammers) so she just gave me some random's details to which I replied "nope, that's not correct, no that's not correct either....". She gave up after that. Unworthy opponent

A man called from India sounded theif asking information then started swearing in Indian language please record him and pass it to federal police

sick of this number ringing me more than 10 times a day, every day. FFS STOP RINGING ME.

This number kept ringing so I answered, it was an Indian claiming his name was Jack from NBN. Don't know how he got my details, but he knew my name even though everything is in my partners name including the phone he rang me on. Told him to F#ck off and don't ring this number again. Still trying to call every day, it's a SCAM. Who can we report these people to and have them stopped? It's ridiculous

OK, so Telstra, IINET, OPTUS, IPrimus, one of you guys MUST own this number. how many complaints do you need. CUT THEM OFF.....
