I had a call from the same number but I have not tried to contact Vodafone at any stage and so I am unsure as to why they called me...and it was in the middle of my class as well and my teacher took my my phone off me but then she gave it back.

I have received calls from this phanton number myself. I called my customer care service and they knew nothing about the number but assured me they had nothing to do with it. I have since called and informed the police. It is now being chased up by Criminal Investigations. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of this issue and put an ebd to it.
The police were a lot more helpful and took it a lot more seriously than customer care. So don't hesitate to call them yourself, if you haven't done so already. It's adviced not to answer the call and certainly DO NOT give them any information i.e. emails and such and DO NOT send "zoo" to the 2222 as it seems to be some kind of con.

I just had a couple of missed calls from this number - I'm with Vodafone and have been on the phone to them a few times over the last 3 days for things they have stuffed up on my plan (things are still unresolved). I have been with them for 10 years and no one else, so I don't imagine it would be optus calling me.

I had a missed call from that number and it said "Optus regrets that the number you have dailed has been dicoconected". So it cant be an Auto Call from vodaphone....

i got a call from this number and missed it i tried to call it back but it said something about this number being unavailable five mins later i got two missed calls from them called them back and same thing happened can someone explain to me wat is going on
