They called me and told me I was the runner up in a competition I entered on Facebook, which is not true and I am not sure how they got my number. Seems to be an aggressive marketing strategy bordering on a scam.

Received a missed called from them, they sent a follow up text about being a runner up in their competition, which I had entered on Facebook. I received a free photoshoot session which is awesome! They are a legitimate and very talented business

Had my information passed on to this company, after buying a car. They call fairly relentlessly offering a photography session. Regardless of its legitimacy, I don't like their style of marketing and blocked the number.

I called back the number (02) 8651 8599 and the guy on the other line said I reached Vogue Portrait

Volvo pass your details without permission to this organisation. Verve charge you $75 (refundable) to have photos taken. You get one 14" x14" photo then you are asked to purchase more........

This is a legitimate business and they have been advertising on facebook. They did run a competition and as with any competition, it is a lead generation activity. Advising you that you were a "runner up" in a competition is the warm introduction to selling the features and benefits of their service offering. Like most small businesses, they no doubt use a small contact centre company to manage their sales activity. It makes good business sense.
