got a call last week and called back and it was lady that ansered didn't provide details. they mistook me for someone else and
i have my number for over 10 years and they calling the wrong person. i google the number and it debt collectiors
may be if you pay your debts they wont call you..

Caller: Someone purporting to be called "Joanne" (Debt collector - Credit Corp)

I've received a familiarly toned voicemail from "Joanne" with no introduction - as if trying to pass off as someone I know ("Hey,____, it's Joanne. Call me back on __"). They have now called my partner, an acquaintance I'm not even that close with (no idea how they made the connection) and my Mother in law, trying to get in touch.
They have also definitely called more than the 3 times a week permitted by the ACCC/ASIC.
They also call from multiple mobile numbers - possibly to get around the above legal restriction.

wanted me to pass on contact details to my niece in law, wouldn't identify what company she was calling from and wouldnt tell me how she got my number.
called from mobile number 0451 633 799, text message came from 0439 782 753 to call back (02) 8621 5290

A woman named Joanne called and asked for information and for me to give specifics to a person I hadn't spoken to in a while. When you are contacted because someone owes you money, it is rather embarrassing. sort your debts.

Asked to pass on message to a friend " Joanne Andrew number (02) 8651 5290 and to call back before 5pm today.
When asked which company you represent she refused to pass on the details.

When asked how she obtained my number she said some data base.
Sounds like a scam

I received a call from a private number. She said she is Joanne and do you know....... I said yes. She asked if I could pass on her details. She said she got my number from a form as a contact for my friend. I told her I could contact my friend. So Joanne, text me her phone number and I asked what is it regarding. No reply. So I googled the number she provided and it brought me to this page. I screen shot the text and sent it to my friend with this explanation.

Asking for details of someone I knew 3 years ago, said it was a 'personal business matter' but provided no further information.

Caller: Debt Collector

Got a call from these unscrupulous people, asking for someone I’ve never heard of. Keep calling me at various time on multiple numbers. I’ve had my number for 8+ years so don’t know how they associate me with a debtor.
I’ll continue to block them, they need to get their facts straight.

I called back number (02) 8651 5290 spoke to a woman but did not say for what company.
