Called seeking info on a family member but won't say who they represent or why they want it, cited Privacy reasons when asked for a reason. What about my privacy that they just invaded? What about the privacy of my family they seek info about? They are just hypocrites I think. I think next time anyone like this calls they will get zip from me, giving up on even giving my name if I don't know who is calling.

Called associates looking for my number. Would not say what is about. Just left ba name and this number. A FB / LinkedIN Google search reveals a lawyer in Sydney?

It is a debt collector company based in Sydney. They look at the social media platform of the person they are looking for in an attempt to call the friends of the intended person. A clear violation of Privacy Act 1991 (Cth) as these friends never give consent to such company to contact them.

I called back number (02) 8651 5045 rang 2 times then goes to busy tone.

I called back number (02) 8651 5045 reached voice mail but did not say from what company.
