Keeps ringing me, doesn't leave a message. Presumably, it is a scam line.

Caller: Commonwealth Bank Applied for a conditional home loan approval last night and today I received a call from this number. I didn't want to make an appointment but caller said 'in order to close this matter, I need to confirm all your details'. This included my full name, DOB, account number etc etc. I hung up immediately. If it is the CBA, they should consider that people in 2022 simply do not give out personal information over the phone like that.

They will be calling you in regards to an online application that you may have started or an appointment you were looking at making. The call centre is based in Brisbane and the number is rerouted through Blacktown. They will ask for your details to confirm they're speaking with the correct person as they are bound by strict privacy laws. Caller: Supposedly a rep from CBA I was stupid enough to give my full name but not to reveal any further personal details. This is a scam for sure. Nothing on the CBA website resembling that quoted above. Don't answer then block the number.

Caller: I don’t know. We tried to see how much we could borrow from a bank and did not want a call back! The number was (02) 8629 4003. We are not buying a house at present. Though a huge 4 wheel drive may not by off the books 😆 wouldn’t get in our driveway or backyard entry from the Lane Way. Second day to get a call. Reading the other messages, I’m guessing a clone number/scam. I’ve turned off the ringing switch on my mobile. Mostly for driving and scam calls.

Caller: Presumably Comm Bank I have been in dialogue with CommBank, also about a home loan. I have spoken with a rep from a local branch. However I have also got about 6 calls from this number and as I thought it may be an annoying energy company I didn't answer it. This is the number referred to on the Comm Bank website. It is however annoying no one ever leaves a message.

Caller: Commbank Definitely Commbank following up on enquiry I made online about a loan. Twice I have answered and they immediately hang up instead of talking to me. So while it's definitely them it's highly unusual to not speak and just hang up which seems suspicious.
