Its legit. I put through a home loan discharge and they just wanted my retention. No one else would have known the details.

I contacted my local Commonwealth Bank, as people at this number called me three times in the last two days. The legitimate CBA worker, said there were no signs of ANYONE, from the commonwealth bank having contacting me in the last two days. He will be putting in a report to CBA Fraud section. This number is NOT a legitimate CBA phone number. He strongly advised me to not ring them back as they had insisted.

They've called me several times around dinner time. I haven't called back. If it was legitimate wouldn't they leave a voicemail asking for return call? I am not comfortable giving my personal information out to them. Call the real CBA number instead and check with them :)

Caller: (02) 8629 4000 It's legit. It's from the CBA. They sent me a message in netbank to confirm. Having said that, I don't really care. You can't call me up and then ask me to give you all the information a person needs to change the password for my online banking. That's bonkers.

Caller: CBA I received a call from this number, who asked me to confirm my details. I said I wouldnt do that until they could confirm that they were from the CBA, at which point the person offered to send a msg to my netbank inbox. I logged into netbank (seperately) and indeed they had sent me a message, so confirmed as legit.

Had a missed call . When I called back the recorded message said it was CBA , however they did not recognise the number I was falling from and asked me to enter it . Strange , as I called back from the number / phone they felled me on ! Hung up instead !

Caller: CBA call centre CBA call centre but they can't seem to take instructions about when to call you that is convenient back so you get calls at random times, that simply waste time and effort

I called 132221.The representitive can find the record on the system, so it is really from CBA, and the number is from the call centre.

I rang the com number 132221 and checked if (02) 8629 4000 is a scam and no its not. It's a generated call checking how you are going with your accounts. It's not a scam. If inshore just ring them direct not the number they called on.

Called again even after speaking to somebody on the first call and asking them not to call again. Is this really the Commonwealth Bank?
