Just had the scammers pretending to be Human Services. Gave me a fright but on returning the call it sounded like a madhouse. Rang back got a cocky female Indian voice once again....when I asked her if she was scamming she went quiet then asked me why I thought that! So sick of dishonest people from the same countries. Hope no oldies get sucked in. Will report to police and Telstra for what it's worth.....

It is a scam. They sometimes call pretending to be the Federal Police. Just hang up and block them.

Received recording phone call from (02) 8607 8601 stating "this is a computer generated call from Human Resources ... congratulations your pension rates have increased ... If you have a Centrelink pension 'push 1' if you ..... etc, etc". immediately HUNG UP !! I'm convinced its a SCAM call.

Received call from Centerlink about being due for a back payment. This is weird as I am a totally self funded retiree and have never received a gift/grant/bonus/dole/stimulus package or any other Centerlink payment in my life. This has to be a scam

"Centrelink" called and told me I had an increase in my pension, but I didn't fill in the paper work with the right information. I had to call them back with my details otherwise Centrelink would cut my pension.

I also got the recorded message last night saying they were from Centrelink; very insistent that I had not responded to any of their previous correspondence and requesting I call back as soon as possible. Glad I looked here first before calling them on the telephone number (02) 8607 8601. I'm not even a Centrelink customer.
