Do not give any information to anyone from this number. They are claiming they are centrelink reporting underpayments to pensioners

Landline call with automated Aussie female voice re failure to complete claim forms and return in order to receive aged pension increase. I was dumb enough to call the number but the alleged Centrelink employee who "valued my privacy" wanted me to buy apple iTunes card value $400 calling it registration so that someone would come to my door with a cheque for more than $1200 back pension. I kept the Asian male on the line for a while straining him along and called scamwatch giving them enough time to phone him when he would be expecting a call back from me with the "registration card" details so he could activate it, ie use my money for something. If the Russians can hack Hilary Clintons email surely our IT guys in federal police can trace these parasites. Targeting aged pensioners is especially evil!

Received an automatic phone call, saying that I had missed letters from Centrelink and my account was now with the Canberra office, and provided this number to call on. They state that I had a lot of backpay owing to me, as I had an increase on my pension. They said I had to pay admin fees to receive the money, and asked me to buy ITunes vouchers.

This is a scam - designed to confuse and defraud people over the phone. It is not Centrelink or Human Services - do not speak to them at all. Hang up.

(02) 8607 5076 - Claimed to be from Dept Human Services - Centrelink (Scam call) reported by Louella Automated sounding call from Withheld number by female with Australian accent stating that they had been trying to contact me re pension changes. They told me to ring Centrelink head office on (02) 8607 5076. I was puzzled because I do not receive a pension but rang out of curiosity. A female with an Indian accent answered on a very crackly line. I told her I don't receive a pension and most of what she said except "don't worry about it" was lost because of the bad line. When I asked her to repeat it she hung up on me.

Received automated call today - initially from overseas number and caller ID withheld but message said to call back on the number listed here. Now saying its a Centrelink call and that documentation has not been completed to received increased benefits approved and back payments . . . we wary this is a scam and do not provide details to them.

Received one of these calls saying that they are from Centrelink debt recovery section , it was a pre-recorded call and was given a receipt no - 080456 and told to ring the number and got a voice system that was not in a format as Centrelink and spoken by people with both a Indian and a American accent. I comfirmed with Centrelink that the number 902)8607 5076 is a scam number , It is a variation of the old ATO tax scam , because of the recent adverse publicity of Centrelink's debt recovery system that has been sending out false debts to clients.
