Caller: “RSPCA” not really.. I just got a call and they said hi is this first and last name, I said yes who is this they said rspca. I said how did you get both my names and number, she said you may have donated before. I said I have never donated. So I fell very uncomfortable that you guys have bought my details from other company’s then trying to tell me I have donated to you. So for that I am not interested.. I looked on the ACTUAL RSPCA website. And they wrote this. Beware of calls from bogus charities

If you would like to make a donation to the Queensland Flood Crisis Appeal please do so online, by phoning the RSPCA yourself or by post. The RSPCA is not using telemarketers to raise money for the floods so please be careful if you receive any calls from someone claiming to represent the RSPCA.
We have had some concerning calls from members of the public who say they have been phoned by people claiming to be the RSPCA asking for cash donations.
The RSPCA in some states does use telemarketers to fundraise by selling products such as raffle tickets, tea towels and diaries however; we do not solicit cash donations from people over the phone.
Some tips to avoid succumbing to bogus callers:
Ask for the caller's name, reference number and call back details If they are hesitant to provide details don't donate If you have a bad feeling about the caller then don't donate Contact your state RSPCA to check that the calls are legitimate If you still want to help the RSPCA then please donate online, by post or by phone.

I notice numbers like this only ring for about 2 rings .. so often you will ring back to see who .. but always look number up first as I suspect by dialling the number back and getting a recorded message means they might be able to hack into our phones.
