Answered the call, was a recorded message in Chinese. I hung up immediately. I have absolutely no affiliations with China, haven't applied for anything. Not impressed.

Missed a call but after reading the news about the scam, number is now blocked.
No need for the other commentors to be racist and rude about the calls though.

Got a random call and immediately answered it to receive an automated message in Mandarin. Have no idea why I was contacted and it seems dodgy. There is no reason for a Chinese person to contact me. Such a waste of time.

Had three calls, two from landlines, one from a mobile leaving the same message in Chinese. Pains in the neck, they woke me on two occasions. Sent a reply message to the mobile indicating they should stop calling me. My phone doesn't have the ability to block unfortunately.

Spam, automatic message. I keep getting calls from different similar numbers that end up being the same spam message, making blocking the number not extremely successful in stopping these calls.

This number called me at 5.45am (Perth time) it was a recorded message in Chinese and not the first call like this. Had one a few weeks ago, have since noted it in my phone as scammer!

This number is listed under General Enquiries(including passport, visa, notarisation, authentication enquiries) for the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney. Apparently I am not the only random person that they have rung.

Same as everyone else, Chinese voice recording talking about the Chinese embassy. I have an unlisted number. I also recently applied on line via Vic Gov website for a passport renewal.

Same auto message in Chinese. I hung up immediately. Scam apparently continuing.
