Returning the call just returns a automated message saying that they called.

Registering for competitions and promotions usually has in the fine print something along the lines that you give them permission to pass your details on to their "partners". It is a way they can get around the do not call register. You have to be careful who you give your details to online and in person.

tried using call barring on nokia 3650 -only allows you to bar incoming calls when you are abroad, didn't work anyway,phone or owner isn't smart enough!

keeps calling late at night

Had 6 prank calls in last 5 days, rang back to find out IPrimus. Rang 1800 688 693 to IPrimus and was informed that I would be put on DO NOT call list. Well I'm on the "national do not call register" but that does not mean a thing to them. I'm still getting calls.

These numbers are beyond annoying, I'm going to flip the scenarios next time they call (which should be any minute according to their track record) and I'm actually going to answer and then I'm going to just continuously ask the telemarketer question after personal question in a fake Indian accent until they hang up! See how they like it... ..

They get your number from anything like if you registered your email address on certain sites and accepting terms and conditions sometimes means getting special promotion news and offers from other companies. I made the mistake of clicking accept and then i seen what i accepted now my phone wont stop ringing. And yeah it's Iprimus the NBN internet people.
