Yes, very persistent. No longer answer phone when I see this number and will never again make donations to fund raising phone callers. Once you've made one donation, they are on the teat forever.

They call and hangup, also get calls from (03) 9264 9000 which is another similar waste of time. They are persistent and wont leave you alone. I am looking into barring them in my handset.

This is one of a series of numbers - all in the series 02 8524 59xx used by the Rural Fire Service's fun-raising arm. Or the company the RFS uses for fund-raising. Sadly they do not respect requests "not to call" and I can only suggest you write a letter of complaint direct to the RFS if you receive continual unwanted calls from these numbers.

Received a call from this number two days in a row. Missed both of them. Does anyone know who it is?. (I have given up on answering numbers I don't know because they all turn out to be like those other stupid numbers that call everyone and never speak).

Yep, received a call from the same number. They didn't leave a message on the recorder and just hung up. I rang the number and it was some sort of fund-raising group.
