As per the goverment website, the NSW Rural Fire Service DOES NOT seek donations over the telephone. Bar the calls from 02 8524 59xx.

This number called me today. He said he was calling for donations on behalf of the volunteer fire brigade

This number has started calling me again after a hiatus of about 5+ years, they don't even bother to leave a message. Not wasting my time calling back.

The 5900 number calls me on my mobile. I guess they must have plenty of money to be able to call mobile numbers. I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message on message bank.

Also calling from 5990 ring back and its a disconnected number. I am on the do not call database but it doesnt cover charities.

Just got a call from (02) 8524 5901 and let it ring out as I didn't recognise the numb er. I googled it and found this website, great idea whoever set it up. I purposely cancelled voicemail as I am so over getting calls from charities and phone companies and I have been on the Do Not Call Register for years also,

Same as above... am sitting at my computer now searching (02) 8524 5900 as the phone has rung three times in three hours all from this number and not leaving a message.
I cannot believe this is a fundraising agency doing this.
I am very pleased this forum has been established so I am more aware that I am not alone.

had calls from 8524-5900 twice in two days, always at 10am. its goes to voicemail but nobody ever leaves a message

I have two phones in my house with different numbers, I don't answer one the other rings not long after - to do this they would be going through the white pages of the directory. I also have caller ID on both of my phones.
Fundraising agencies should have more training in customer service, then maybe they might get somewhere, but not by harassing people.

Had a break from this caller since my last one in May but got one today at 1:30pm - Have saved the number and programmed it in my home digital phone under the heading "spam caller" . so far I've saved 3 numbers like this but each time they call now I just look at the id screen on my phone and ignore it. that way it doesn't waste any of my time. the numbers I've accumulated now are as follows:028524590002822330000392245352
