I called back number (02) 8520 4013 spoke to a guy who is doing telemarketing for an insurance company called referral partner services.

Called my office and would only speak to me (CEO). Told my staff they had 3 CIOs on the end of the phone, had been referred to us my Microsoft Partnership, had read our website and wanted to talk to me about an e-health solution (we develop software) and it was urgent. They wanted to talk to me NOW. Unfortunately staff gave out my mobile so I've been rung on that too. I was more suspicious as who would expect to be able to speak to a CEO with no notice? Thankfully I read other comments here, ... thank you all for alerting us to these scammers. Unfortunately they are getting more cunning.

Tell them you need funeral insurance for a relative, terminally ill. (Make up this story.). Tell them he's terminally ill. We plan on having a lavish funeral. Limousines,ferraris , camels , elephants in the procession. Fresh cut white roses, some celebs will attend. They charge attendance fees. The cost is looking around 30,000$ figure. Can you cover me for that?

Selling insurance. Told them not interested but still keep calling. Really annoying!

I didn't even wait for them to tell me what they are selling - told them they had to have bought my phone number as it is not listed & that that is illegal in Australia. Told me that I would be put on the "Do Not Call Register". Also told me that my details were given to them by Australian Data Services. I have checked, they have a website, but no contact phone number & I have had a look, they have not ABN - Dodgy Brothers!

Called me twice on the same day. At 11.13am and again at 6.55pm. Didn't answer. No voicemail. Blocked the number. Everytime I block a telemarketing number another company calls me on another number. Very frustrating.

Said Is your name John XXXX, I answered yes. Then a lady announced the company name. (insurance company called referral partner services) I then realized this caller was calling from the same number that called 1 hour earlier. In that call a male gave me the call, same spiel, where I replied, I don;t want insurance or need it, not to call again. I did say it with a raised voice, and hung up. On this call I told them, listen to your recorded call for training and couching purposes to remind them the next time they call, thay also will be recorded. I then went on to say I will sew them if they call again, repeated to insure they heard it clearly. So far. no more calls.

Called me several times before I hesitantly answered. The number came up as being based in New South Wales. I answered and waited about 15 seconds, saying hello a few times and not getting a response. Hung up and blocked the number. Suggest you do the same.

These oxygen thieves just rang my mobile. Thanks for your website which immediately confirmed that they are cold callers. Telstra and other service providers should be compelled to block these intrusions to our private mobiles.
