Had a message left today claiming to be tax office chasing oustanding funds presume a hiax

This number rang twice today and left a message stating I had been charged with tax avoidance and was going to be arrested if I didn't call this number back. I didn't respond to the call as the caller was obviously overseas and I don't work anyway so cannot avoid tax anyway.

Rang me today and left a message - have called a few times before.

I rang them back and told them i was from the AFP investigating people pretending to be ATO . He said, OK so what do you want a do about it and then hung up on me !!!!

Tax Hoax Scammers. Rubbish about a tax avoidance case and a warrant is about to be issued for me - I've added the number to my blocked list.

This number has called 5 times over 2 days claiming to be from the tax office and they were taking me to court. If I called back they could give me information. I know I have not had illegal tax issues, this would be a scam I haven't responded.

This number rang twice today and identical messages were left (sounded like a well-reheared recorded message) stating it was about tax avoidance and a "cessational" arrest warrant was going to be issued against my name and the first thing I should do is call this number. Like the others I believe this to be a hoax and I won't be calling back.

2 'scam' calls this morning 31/8/16 saying something about tax avoidance and threatening court action if calls were ignored. Not the first time calls received. Voice had typical Indian overtones. It was a recorded message with the contact number of (02) 8520 3536 given. Wish something could be done about these maggots.

Just had the same call. Some overseas tax scam ,stating I was being jailed for tax avoidance lol...

I got the same, "I am the taxman and I'm sending the police after you" crap message left on my answering machine. It's frightening to think that some people must fall for this sort of scam or they wouldn't keep happening. I can't tell you how many millions I have lost because I didn't email back the information requested! LOL

Got the same message and not going to respond. They did not mentioned my name. Just case against your name....

I have had a number of calls from this number all threatening legal action for an unspecified issue. Obviously a hoax.
